ALEXIS & MARINA

March 3rd, 2025

Cancún,Quintana Roo México

Love Story

Marina met Alexis on a 2017 trip to Cancun, sparking an instant connection. Despite challenges like distance and a language barrier, their bond grew as Alexis joined Marina's family holidays and eventually moved to Cancun in 2020. During the pandemic, they adopted three rescue dogs, forming a loving family together.

We are excited to welcome all of you to
celebrate our love in the city we call home!

  • What language will the ceremony be in?

The ceremony will be in both English
    and Spanish!

  • Will there be children at the wedding?

While we dearly love our nieces and nephews, we have decided to have an adults-only wedding. We want all parents to be able to enjoy the day without worrying about the safety of their little ones on the pier. We are inviting the direct nieces and nephews to our rehearsal dinner, so we can still celebrate with them!

  • Dress code?

This is a beachy, semi-formal event, while we do not expect guests to show up in gowns we would like to celebrate in style. No white or off-white dresses, please. Wear chunky heels, platforms, or flat-bottomed shoes. Like most piers, there are slots where a thin heal would get stuck in. Sunglasses & sunscreen are advised!

FAQ´S

  • What should I expect the weather to be like?

It is hot and humid in Cancun
year-round. March is a bit cooler
    than other months, so we
suggest bringing a coat for the
evening as the pier is on the
lagoon and there is quite a
    breeze!

  • Anything I should bring?

In Mexico, it is typical to tip your
    servers and bartenders at
weddings & there is a tradition
where guests pin cash to the
    bride's veil (100% optional for
    both).

  • Anything to keep in mind?

Do not get into the lagoon or
hang your feet off the pier, La
    Laguna Nichupte is home to
    many crocodiles. However, we
are completely safe on the pier!
Be mindful that no trash falls
    into the lagoon!

  • Parking?

    We suggest Ubering and or
taking a taxi if you are drinking,
the legal drinking limit in Mexico
is much lower/only about 1 beer.
There is no parking at the event
hall, but you can pay to park at
    Plaza Kukulcan
